Facilities
The Luther B. Turner Temple was dedicated
on November 7, 1971. It is a single-story
split-level brick building sitting on over 3 acres. There is parking lot for
over 80 cars in the rear, and we have YMCA permission to use their lot nextdoor,
which provides over 100 more places.
The upper-level meeting room has 192 permanent seats and can seat about 300 people.
The lower-level social hall (north view,
south view) seats over 200, and is available for rent. It
has:
- A full commercial-grade kitchen with
- a 10-burner, 2 oven gas stove and hood,
- a 30 cubic foot refrigerator,
- a commerical 50 second-cycle dishwasher,
- 2 100-cup coffee pots,
- 4 roasters,
- 2 bus carts,
- a gas-heat deep fryer,
- and more place settings than could ever be used.
- A commercial icemaker.
- Men's and women's restroom facilities.
- A piano.
- A television.
- A soda pop machine.
The building itself has new central air conditioning and heating.
Neither alcohol consumption nor smoking is permitted on the premises.
